In addition to being a dynamic speaker, Rod has a gift for written communication. Since he was very young he has used writing as both a means of catharsis as well as personal expression. Essays are a particularly exciting activity because of the lack of time constraints. For Rod, multiple drafts aren't a chore, but a labor of love as he searches for just the right phrase or perhaps the perfect metaphor to carry the words forward with added significance or understanding. Most of the essays involve sharing Rod's faith. Some attempt to communicate some life lesson gleaned from Bible study while others are intended to share a personal view.
